Hyperbaric Oxygen TherapyThe Healing Our Heroes program at the Rocky Mountain Hyperbaric Institute supports veterans by assisting with payments for hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) treatments. Many veterans have sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Post Concussive Syndrome (PCS). Studies have been conducted using HBOT as an alternative therapy to medication. These studies have shown that patients receiving these treatments had a dramatic increase in cognitive abilities, improved recovery in motor skills and were able to decrease their anti-depressant medication intake. Broomfield American Legion Post 58 and Auxiliary Unit 58 are dedicated to helping the Institute provide these services to veterans free of charge. We are actively seeking donations for HBOT. Post 58/Unit 58 also participates in providing a weekly dinner for the veteran patients at the HBOT Center, as well as driving them to and from the Denver International Airport.
